Brown-Forman Announces Sale of Cooperage in Alabama

Brown-Forman Corporation (NYSE:BFA,BFB) announced the sale of its cooperage in Trinity, Alabama, to Independent Stave Company (ISCO). The cooperage will continue to make barrels for the Jack Daniel Distillery as part of a strategic relationship between the companies. ISCO will rename the cooperage from the Jack Daniel Cooperage to the Alabama Cooperage upon closing, expected by May 1, 2024.

ISCO Purchases Forested Acreage In Southcentral Kentucky

Independent Stave Company (ISCO) has closed on 8,016 forested acres in the Southcentral region of Kentucky, near the town of Somerset. The land was purchased for its abundance of mature stave quality oak logs. Over the next several years, ISCO Log Procurement will work with local loggers to sustainably harvest wood from the land to supply the company’s stave mill facilities in Kentucky and the adjacent states.

Coil breaks ground for new Independent Stave Company mill

Coil Construction broke ground today to make way for a new mill for Independent Stave Company to produce staves for bourbon and wine barrels. Community members, members of the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce and Arkansas Economic Development Commission, and representatives
from Independent Stave Company and Coil Construction were on hand for the groundbreaking.
