Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Receives ISO 9001 Certification
LOUISVILLE, KY. (June 22, 2021) -- Kentucky Bourbon Barrel, a subsidiary of Independent Stave Company, is proud to announce they have received the ISO 9001 certification. The ISO 9001 certification is an international standard that requires companies to develop and document a quality management system that outlines how they operate.
Each Independent Stave Company manufacturing facility has personnel responsible for monitoring the quality of products from the beginning of the process through delivery and customer satisfaction. This operational procedure was created in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard. ISO 9001 also requires personnel training in safety, processing, product specifications and work performance quality.
By becoming ISO 9001 certified, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel is being recognized for having a quality management system in place that allows for production of superior quality products.

Quality is the main priority from the moment barrels reach the cooperage until they are shipped to a customer. The ISO 9001 certification is an example of the importance of quality to the company and customers they serve.
