Pays a Premium for Certified Wood
Our Certified Wood Program
"We developed this program to help landowners take the next step toward forest certification. By offering support through the certification process—and paying a premium for certified white oak logs—we’re creating shared value for landowners, loggers, and the forests we all depend on. It’s one way we’re doing our part to strengthen sustainability across our industry."

How Certification Helps
Certified wood can earn a premium and strengthens our shared commitment to responsible forestry. Through sustainable harvesting, landowners create lasting value—generating income today and in the future, while preserving healthy forests. This approach helps safeguard our industry’s integrity by ensuring that only responsibly sourced wood enters the supply chain.
How It Works
-
Landowners become an ISCO Certified Source one of two ways:
-Work with a consulting forester to develop a Forest Management Plan and certify their forest.
-Work with an ISCO Forester to participate in ISCO’s Landowner Assistance Program.
-
Loggers become an ISCO Preferred Supplier with ISCO’s Certified Wood Program.
-
Independent Stave Company pays a premium for certified logs, benefiting both landowner and logger.
