What began as a project between two friends has evolved into a wholesale distribution company that markets ultra-premium wines to gourmet retailers and fine restaurants on a regional and national level.
Golden Barrel, Inc. (GBI) began in 1993 with the its first vintage of Coopers' Legacy (Sonoma County Wines created for GBI by the dare I say "Famous" Rick Sayre) with a modest production of 1,000 cases. Since that humble beginning, GBI has increased its production of Coopers' Legacy to 5,000 cases and has expanded its porfolio to represent over 75 producers.
GBI aggressively seeks out producers that are devoted to the handcrafted art of winemaking while offering wines of great value. GBI services over 350 retail/restaurant customers within the state of Missouri. while supplying Coopers' Legacy (Cabernet, Merlot, Chardonnay) to 10 states from the East Coast to as far West as Colorado.
