Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame to enshrine class of 2008

The Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame will add seven members at a ceremony Friday in Bardstown.
The inductees will join 23 enshrinees in the hall, which was established in 2001.
Members of this year's class are:
- Brad Boswell, president of Independent Stave Co.
- Owsley Brown, former president of Brown-Forman Corp.
- Thomas J. Flocco, president and CEO of Beam Global Spirits & Wine Inc.
- Edwin S. Foote, retired master distiller at Old Fitzgerald Distillery
- Rita L. Greenwell, retired administrative assistant at the Kentucky Distillers' Association
- Jimmy Wickham, director of customer relations and quality assurance for Independent Stave Co.
- Evan Williams, a bourbon producer often called Kentucky's first distiller.
Candidates
are nominated each year by Kentucky Distillers' Association member
distilleries and the Kentucky Bourbon Festival. Enshrinees are chosen
by the KDA board of directors.
The induction ceremony will
be held from 3 to 5 p.m., at Jideco Hall in Bardstown during the
Kentucky Bourbon Festival VIP/Press Reception.
The Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame display is located at the Oscar Getz Museum of Whiskey History in Bardstown.
